Marston said, “I work so hard in running and love to see it pay off. I know there is more that I can do with the sport.”

Junge added, “It feels great to be considered because it motivates me to work harder and become the best I can be. It gives me so much confidence and lets me perform at a higher level.”

Kohn praised the athletes in the article.

“It is difficult to be considered the best-of-the-best in a talent-rich area like East County,” he said. “Year-after-year, though, we see those who showcase rare skills and an ability to use them consistently, leading to great accomplishments.”
