(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Wednesday the LRHS Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) Association will host a Chipotle fundraiser at 11715 State Road 70 E, Lakewood Ranch, FL, 34202 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Orders can be placed online using the code Y47LDDP or in person showing a flyer in the restaurant. The flyer can be obtained from art teacher and FFEA co-adviser Laura Victore in room 509.  LRHS English teacher Otisha Evans is the other co-adviser.

Victore said 33% of event sales will be donated to FFEA. This money will be used towards event planning, inducting more members, and sending an LRHS representative to the state conference next school year.

“I am eager to see how the fundraiser goes,” stated Victore. “I really want to send a representative to the Florida Conference next year and hopefully this fundraiser can make that possible.”

FFEA President junior Sara Cestero added, “I am very excited for FFEA’s Chipotle fundraiser this Wednesday. I am a bit nervous for the turnout, but I have hope that it will greatly benefit the club in the long run.”

Aside from the Chipotle fundraiser, FFEA is currently working towards all its members having the ability to shadow a teacher.

Freshman Makenna Dyer has shadowed and enjoyed the experience.

“I shadowed English teacher Jennifer Grant,” she said. “I wanted to shadow her to see what it was like in an environment where older kids are taught. I enjoyed the experience and definitely learned a lot from it.”
