Olivia Ryan– Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls varsity soccer team has had a successful season so far with a record of 6-0-2.

The girls are ranked fifth in class 7A district 7.

Sophomore Sophia Lemus leads the team with seven goals on the season followed by senior Sydney O’Shea with two.

Early childhood education teacher and head coach Delaney Riggins said, “We have had a great start to the season, being undefeated in eight games. We hope to continue this success and go into playoffs strong.”

The girls will be back in action against Venice at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at home.
