Olivia Ellis- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS esports team has had a successful fall season thus far and will continue into the playoffs.

The Reapers team placed fourth in their overall group in Rocket League with a record of 5-2 for a total of 15 points and will represent LRHS in the Rocket League group playoffs.

Sophomore Steven Robinson, junior Connor Shilling, and freshman Nicolas Juliano make up the LRHS Reapers.

The A Team placed seventh in their overall group in the Rocket League. They had a total of one win and six losses for a total of eight points.

The A Team is composed of sophomores Ethan Kranert, Kaylie Adams, and junior Mark Tarver.

Kranert, freshman Spencer Ghasnbarpour, and senior Nicolas Layrisse all placed fourth overall in their individual groups for Super Smash Bros and will represent LRHS in the individual playoffs.

Student services specialist and esports coach Kari Keech-Babcock is very proud of her team. “I am quite proud of all our esports players this fall season; I’m looking forward to spring season with them as well. They all did extremely well, and I love watching them grow as individuals and as players,” said Keech-Babcock.  

Kranert said, “I like being in the esports team because I can play games with my friends as my teammates, and I am planning on staying in the club until senior year.”
