The LRHS and SEHS choirs celebrate the season

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Friday the LRHS and Southeast choirs teamed up and went caroling in the downtown Bradenton Village of the Arts.

The choirs collaborated to sing holiday songs, including “Shalom Aleichem” for Hanukkah, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Silent Night,” “Joy to the World,” “Jingle Bells,” “Carol of the Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”  

LRHS choir director Rebekah Lester led the LRHS choir in singing “Remembering Decembers” as well as “White Winter Hymnal.”

Lester stated, “It was a perfect night for caroling and both choirs enjoyed singing together and made many new friends. I am looking forward to all future concerts with the Southeast choir.”

Southeast choir director Michelle Norman Webb lead her choir with a guitar accompanied song called “La Nanita Nana.” 

The LRHS orchestra, concert choir, men’s choir, and acapella choir will be performing in the Winter Concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at LRHS. Admission is free and all are welcomed to attend.
