(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS boys varsity basketball team finished their first week of the season 1-2.
On Monday, Nov. 29 the Mustangs won their first game 64-55 against Booker.
The team shot 40% from the field and had eight steals.
On Tuesday, Nov. 30 the team lost against Seminole 59-53.

Senior Jay’Den Clarke-Jones recorded 15 points and the Mustangs had a collective six blocks and seven steals.
Wrapping up the week, the Mustangs made the trip to Southeast where they lost 70-66 in a fourth quarter nail biter.
Junior CJ Kerr had 18 points against Southeast.
Kerr said, “We each gave all our effort this week and hope to come back with a win on Monday.”
The Mustangs next game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6 at home against Palmetto.
