Kaitlyn Case – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Monday LRHS student services specialist Kari Keech-Babcock was named a finalist for the Manatee Schools Excellence in Education Awards. This award recognizes the great attitude, determination, and work ethic Keech-Babcock brings to LRHS each day.
Keech-Babcock stated, “I am extremely honored and humbled to have been selected as a support finalist for the 2021-22 Excellence in Education Award. I could not believe how many people from the district and our school showed up to surprise me with the announcement. It was a mix of shock, excitement, and an overwhelming gratefulness.”

Keech-Babcock is grateful for the LRHS staff’s support in her journey, and even more grateful for the support they provide throughout the school year.
LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist stated, “This recognition is well deserved as Keech-Babcock represents our school. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated faculty and staff here at our school.”
Dahlquist is especially proud of Keech-Babcock’s ability to work diligently through COVID-19 and her ability to continuously go above and beyond for Mustangs.
Keech-Babcock and the other finalists will be honored at February’s Excellence in Education Ceremony.
