The LRHS marching Mustangs are grand champions

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Mustang Marching Band earned the title of Grand Champions at the Florida Marching Band Championship (FMBC) at Riverview High School on Saturday.

In addition to winning Grand Champion, the Mustangs took home best overall music, best overall visual, and first place in the class 4A category.

Drum Major Senior Lana Dibiase said, “This past weekend was incredible with our second grand champion win at a regional competition. We are definitely set up for a good week ahead of states.”

The Mustangs have finished first at all three regionals they have attended this season and have won two regional grand championship titles.

This week the Mustangs will wrap up their season by competing at the FMBC Championship in Ocala.

They will perform in the semifinal competition at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 at the World Equestrian Center.

Drum Major Senior Maya Lander added, “Our hard work is paying off and I am so excited to see how states will go.”
