Girl Up optimistic for 2021-22

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Girl Up had a successful meeting on Tuesday Nov. 2, after not meeting last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The club had a great turn out at their first meeting where they discussed their mission, available leadership positions, and goals for the year.

Senior Reva Gandhi said, “I am so excited for Girl Up this year. I think we are going to help make a real difference among girls in our community.”

The club plans to offer more volunteer opportunities for its members this year as well.

Co-president senior Anastasia Jenkins explained, “We hope to raise awareness and funds for girls locally and globally in order to help them become leaders.”

The next meeting is at 7:05 a.m. on Tuesday Nov. 16 in room 570.
