The Marching Mustangs took straight superiors at competition

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Mustang Marching Band earned straight superior ratings in all assessed areas Saturday at the annual Florida Bandmaster’s Association (FBA) Marching Music Performance Assessment (MPA) at Manatee High School.

They were one of only two marching bands in Manatee County to earn an overall superior rating.

Sophomore Kathy Montanaro said, “Marching band has allowed me to apply myself through music and perform what I have learned over the past few months. This past weekend really helped show how we all as a band can come together.”

LRHS bands directory John Schindler emphasized the praiseworthy performance.

“Please congratulate the members of the Mustang Marching Band on their superior performance this past Saturday at the annual Florida Bandmaster’s Association Marching Music Performance Assessment held at Manatee High School,” he said.

The Mustangs will continue their season on Saturday, Oct. 6 by hosting the the 17th annual Music in Motion Competition here at LRHS.
