(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Lakewood Leaders volunteered at Nolan Middle School’s annual haunted house on Friday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 23.

The haunted house was run by Nolan’s National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and consisted of two hallways. The first hallway was a haunted hospital and the other was a carnival.

Lakewood Leaders helped set up and organize the black-out room in the haunted hospital.

Their duties consisted of fixing any problems during the haunted house and making sure that everything ran smoothly.

Freshman Samantha Bellaire stated, “My favorite part about helping was to be able to participate in something big for the community.”

Lakewood Leaders helped Nolan raise over $6,600.

President Olivia D’Orazio, senior, has been involved with Nolan’s haunted hallway for five years and was excited to introduce it to Lakewood Leaders.

“We are already in the talks of working with Nolan’s NJHS program on more community service events for Lakewood Leaders, and I am happy the haunted hallways were successful,” D’Orazio said.
