(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -There will be a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Common App workshop from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the LRHS media center labs A, B, C, and D for seniors.

FAFSA is the free government college aid program that Mustangs have access to.

“FAFSA is done on a first-come-first-serve basis so the faster you get it in the more financial aid you will get so its super important to get it done as quickly as possible,” said college and career advisor Ricardo Acevedo.

To fill out FAFSA, Mustangs will need their parent/guardian’s tax information for the 2020 tax return year, their social security number, and the social security number of at least one parent/guardian.

Common App is the application platform most colleges use for admissions.

At the workshop, Mustangs will receive one on one help from Acevedo and Manatee Action Plan (MAP) Ambassadors. MAPs are Mustangs who are dedicated to help their peers through the application process.
