LRHS Marching Mustangs conduct an award-winning performance

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Marching Mustangs earned the grand champion title at the Florida Marching Band Championship (FMBC) regional marching band competition at Braden River High School on Saturday, Oct. 23.

In addition to being the highest scoring band, the Mustangs took home first in class 4A. They were awarded best music, best visual, best general effect, best percussion, and best color guard.

Drum major senior Maya Lander said, “This past weekend was incredible, the progress we have been pushing for is showing and winning grand champs is just the beginning of what we’re going to do this season.”

LRHS director of bands John Schindler said, “This week our hard-working Mustangs will travel to Manatee High School on Saturday, Oct. 30 to perform at our annual Marching Music Performance Assessment (MPA).”
