(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Both the LRHS girls and boys golf teams have had an action-packed season with recent successes.

On Friday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9 LRHS senior Jack Burbee place first in the Honda High School Invitational.

Burbee finished with a 141, placing him three over par. Burbree is the second LRHS Mustang to win this event, the last being in 2001.

The Mustangs overall placed ninth out of 16 teams.

The boys’ team is now 101-14-1 this season.

On Monday, Oct. 4 junior Jessica Kobetitsch won the individual title at the Donald Ross Memorial Girls Invitational with a 78.

The Mustangs finished second overall with the help of freshman Tiffanie Tran who shot an 82.

The boys’ team next tournament will be the quad match at Royal Lakes against Manatee, Sarasota, and North Port.
