Ryan Hanson – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS boys golf team competed in the Donald Ross Memorial Invitational Tournament on Monday, Oct. 4.

The team went 11-1, tying Saint Stevens for first in points but ultimately losing 21-19 in the first playoff hole.

The top Mustangs were senior Jack Burbee with 73 and junior Preston Severs with 74 and birdied the last two holes.

The LRHS boys golf team also competed in the South Florida PGA Invitational at Crown Colony Golf and CC in Fort Myers on Friday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Oct. 2. They finished 9-1 and placed second overall in the tournament.

Burbee and freshman Jaxon Brown both hit two over par and senior Tim Willamson hit four over par.

The team will play again on Friday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9 at The Honda High School Invitational at the PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens.
