Greg Klein is leaving LRHS for future opportunities

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – After eight years at LRHS, fine arts teacher and yearbook adviser Gregory Klein will be leaving to pursue a job at the University of South Florida (USF).

Klein has taught a variety of classes at LRHS including Creative Photography 1, Creative Photography 2, Creative Photography 3, Digital Art 1, Digital Art 2, Film Making, Web Design, along with yearbook.

“I will definitely miss the students the most,” Klein remarked. “My favorite memory here was when my Digital Art students threw me a surprise birthday party on my 60th birthday.”

Klein will be joining USF as a Learning Designer. His responsibilities will include design work and training teachers.

Klein added, “It will definitely be very different from what I am doing now, but I am looking forward to change.”

Yearbook editor Kate Tuchman, junior, said, “Mr. Klein has been the type of teacher who was always willing to help out with anything. I feel like I have really gotten to know him over the past three years, and I am going to miss having him and his jokes in the classroom.”
