(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Academic Team (A-Team) had their first competition on Thursday at Southeast High School.

The LRHS Green team came in eighth place with 127 points and Black came in ninth with 117 points. Sophomore Angel Potter had 105 points and tied for seventh place in individuals.

A-Team adviser and LRHS English teacher Janet Tipton said, “We finished in the middle of the pack and considering that none of the Mustangs have been on A-Team before, and that I haven’t coached before, I think we held our own.”
