Erin-Elizabeth Purcell – Mustangs Ahead 

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS esports team is seeking new members for the 2021-2022 school year.

The team participates in a range of digital tournaments with games such as Rocket League, Overwatch, and Smash Brothers Ultimate.

Senior Addison Santana said, “Our aspirations for this year is to have all of our teams reach the highest level of competition and become champions. We also hope for our players to earn colligate esports scholarships.”

Mustangs of all grades and skill levels are welcomed to join and several officer positions including team coach are available.

LRHS records secretary and adviser Kari Keech-Babcock said, “This club is revolutionary in a way, it’s a chance for Mustangs to represent LRHS in the world of gaming which is uncommon and an amazing opportunity for competitive or recreational gamers.”

The team will have their first meeting 3:05 Tuesday, Sept. 28 in room 613.

Anyone interested can join until Thursday, Sept. 30 by joining the Schoology group with the code D8P7-6GR8-X39CD.

All members must pay $35 prior to competing to cover competition entry costs.
