(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS boy’s golf team won the Lakewood Ranch Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18 with a score of one under par.

The Mustangs, with 287 strokes placed first out of 16 teams after breaking a tie with Columbus High School in the first playoff.

This was the first time the Mustangs broke par since 2014.

Mustang senior Jack Burbee was tied for first with a total of 67 strokes.

The Mustangs also played in the Crutchfield/Hawkins invitational on Monday, Sept. 20, placing second among 16 teams.

Freshman Jaxon Brown led the match with 74 individual strokes and freshman Parker Servers followed behind him with 75 strokes.

The Mustangs are now 65-2-1 on the season and are scheduled to play in the Ultimate Golf Experience Suncoast Invitational on Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25.
