LRHS NHS officers lead the year’s first meeting

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) –Tuesday the LRHS National Honor Society (NHS) held its first member meeting of the 2021-2022 school year.

The meeting was led by LRHS English teacher and NHS adviser Tracy Gregory, as well as officers, president senior Matthew Boudreau, vice president senior Anabelle Lam, secretary senior Sara Hutchinson, historian senior Madisen Sidlo, parliamentarian junior Faith Miller, public relations senior Olivia D’Orazio, and president-elect junior Nicole Chen. Treasurer senior Ava Ebling was not able to attend the meeting.

Boudreau remarked, “My favorite part about NHS is giving back to the community and being able to guide and provide opportunities for our team members to help out where they can. I think the first meeting went well, and I am looking forward to an excellent school year.”

The agenda covered important information for new and veteran members such as semester requirements for all NHS members and upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Additionally, this meeting gave an opportunity for new members who missed the induction ceremony in May to be officially inducted into NHS.

The meeting was held in the school auditorium, and members sat one seat apart from one another in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
