Mustangs have health education opportunity

Grace Shaw-Rockey – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Manatee County is offering a program for Mustangs to address health issues in our community.

“Healthy Teens” is a coalition of Manatee County youth that allows for students to become educated on all kinds of health problems within the county.

This program has provided over 10,000 students in the past seven years with knowledge of how to prevent important health problems.

According to their website, “Healthy Teens is a nationally recognized program that allows students to earn community service hours, develop important life skills, and it looks great for college applications.”
