Volleyball loses tough first match

The 2021 LRHS volleyball team suffered a tough loss.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS volleyball team fell 2-3 on Tueday, Aug. 24 against Bradenton Christian School.

The Mustangs put up a good fight, winning the first two sets, but ultimately lost the last three.

Senior Mallory Lloyd said, “Even though we lost we learned a lot. We were all excited to get out on the court and now we ready for our upcoming games.”

Junior varsity and freshman also lost their games, but are still hopeful for the rest of the season.

Sophomore Grace Vilasi, “I am so excited for our games. I think we are a good team that can go far.”

The Mustangs will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26 at Sarasota High School.
