Ryan Hanson – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS varsity boys golf team tied St. Stephens Episcopal school for first place in their season opener on Monday, Aug. 23.
A total of twelve teams competed at the John Ryan High School Invitational in Venice.

The top players from LRHS include senior Jack Burbee, who shot a 70, freshman Parker Severs, who shot a 75, junior Preston Severs, who shot a 75, freshman Jaxon Brown, who shot a 77, and Senior Tim Williamson, who shot an 81.
Burbee, a newcomer to Florida, comes from a golfing family. LRHS varsity golf coach Dave Frantz said, “Jack Burbee is the son of The Oaks Head Professional Joe Burbee, PGA, and just moved to Florida last month.”
The team’s next tournament will be the Windermere Invitational at The Legends at Orange Lake in Kissimmee on Friday, Aug. 27 to Saturday, Aug. 28, with the top 16 teams in the state.
