LRHS English teacher Otisha Evans takes on new challenges

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Like many Mustangs this year, LRHS English teacher Otisha Evans made the transition from middle to high school.

Evans has been teaching for five years at the middle school level in various locations, including Manatee School for the Arts, John Hopkins Middle School, and Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School.

Evans chose to come to LRHS because of its amazing reputation.

Evans stated, “The staff is amazing, everyone that I have met has been a tremendous help. Their support has made my transition seamless.”

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi Evans attended college in Memphis, Tennessee.

After college Evans moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to pursue a degree in Mass Communication. Evans is also a registered interior designer in the state of Florida.

Evans is happily married with a four-year-old son.
