(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustangs were informed of the rules of LRHS in a second period video presentation Tuesday. Coming back to school, Mustangs were reminded of the regulations in place to make this a successful academic year.

The presentation focused on tardies, detentions, attendance, IDs, dress code, parking and more.

Mustangs are encouraged to be on time to school every day. If they are late, they will receive two free passes, after that they will receive detention.

Detentions are after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Regarding the detention policy, the rules presentation said, “If you fail to serve your detention, you will automatically be assigned a Friday Extra School. Friday Extra Schools are from 2:25 to 4:25 and a failure to serve extra school will result in a two day in-school suspension.”

Mustangs are also encouraged to attend school as much as possible.

The LRHS Student Handbook stated, “Mustangs who are absent more than six days per semester must provide documentation from a physician or government agency to receive additional excused absences.”

Mustangs are also required to always wear a student ID during the school day. Failure to display a student ID badge at any time will result in disciplinary action.

Dress code should always be followed and more information about the dress code can be found on the LRHS website.

Mustangs are required to have a valid parking permit in order to park on campus. Failure to show their permit or park in another Mustang’s spot will result in a ticket.

Lastly, if any Mustang wants to participate in a sport or club, they must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0.

The presentation said, “Participating in athletics and activities is a privilege. In order to represent LRHS, student conduct must be outstanding.”
