Haven Hunter – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS boys varsity football team will kick off their season against Alonso High School at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20 at home.

Rainy weather recently has affected the team’s ability to practice but they are trying to make the most of the situation with indoor training and workouts.

Assistant coach Brian Richards said, “If the weather continues, we will not be well enough prepared.”

But the team remains hopeful and is hoping for a successful year.

Senior Paxton Pope said, “No losses, we will be undefeated all season.”

Coach Brian Ross added, “Our goal this season is to grow and expand our club and to succeed. But succeeding does not just mean winning it is learning and growing as a team.”
