Haven Hunter – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS FFA had an exciting summer with several cow shows and a summer camp for younger kids.

LRHS agriculture teacher and FFA adviser McKenzie Gorskey said, “It was great to be able to get back together and go all in this year.”

During the summer FFA hosted the “LRHS Little Ranchers,” where young campers interested in agriculture got exposed to agriculture and the science behind it.

Gorskey said, “The campers favorite day was when we brought in dairy calves. Getting to work and interacting with the animals really made their experience.”

This year, Gorskey is joined by new agriculture teacher Brett Wheeler.

Wheeler stated, “The reason I came to LRHS is because of Ms. Gorskey. She was my student in high school and we had always joked about teaching together. We are both so excited for this year and its possibilities.”
