Charlize Ucciferri – Mustangs Ahead

LRHS varsity cheerleaders enjoyed a successful summer.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS cheerleading program took home three gold awards and a silver at the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) camp held at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota, Aug. 1 – 4.

UCA hosts cheerleading camps nationwide to help middle school and high school teams progress and gain new skills.

At the camps cheerleaders learn and perfect the basics of cheerleading.

LRHS teacher’s aide and head cheer coach Sherri Haber stated, “My goal as a coach at UCA camp was to prepare the junior varsity and varsity teams for our competition season coming up. The teams and I want to bring a challenging routine that will be easy for them to perform but that will also score well.”

While at camp, six junior varsity and five varsity cheerleaders were selected to try out to be an “All-American” cheerleader.
