LRHS band director Ron Lambert is leaving the school.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – After 11 years as the director of LRHS bands, Ron Lambert will be saying goodbye.

Lambert has also taught at Southeast High School and the University of South Florida.

Lambert stated, “I have been fortunate to watch young men and women grow into adulthood, graduate from the band hall, and contribute to society. So many of them have gone on to become great teachers themselves.”

Throughout his career Lambert has accumulated many awards including LRHS Teacher of the Year in 2018-19 and being a semifinalist for the Manatee County Teacher of the Year in 2019.  He started as an adjunct designer and staff member for the marching band and percussion program in 2003, then was hired as the assistant director in 2004. He went to Southeast in 2008 and 2009 to be the Director of Bands, and then returned to LRHS in that capacity in 2010.
