(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS Chorus held its first concert of the school year on Thursday in the LRHS auditorium.

Seniors were recognized at the end of the concert.

“We did senior recognitions at the end which included the seniors stating how many years they have been in chorus, their favorite chorus memory and their plans after high school,” said chorus teacher Giselle Panagiotakis.

The acapella Mustangs also surprised Panagiotakis with a song.

“The acapella Mustangs surprised me with a song they had been working on for a long time. It made me cry all the tears listening to them sing,” said Panagiotakis.

Alumni were also recognized at the concert. They went up on the stage and sang ‘Ukuthula,’ an African song about peace.

Panagiotakis said, “The seniors now that did not get a concert last year were there and they were able to sing and a lot of them were really emotional because they did not get to have that but at least they got to sing last night.”
