LRHS’s Devan Perry and Ari Siegal finished second in state tennis

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls doubles tennis team placed second in the state and first in the district during the FHSAA state championship April 28 – 30 in Orlando.

Seniors Ari Siegel and Devan Perry won their bracket over the first two days of the state tournament, but lost in the finals, finishing as state runners-up.

Perry said, “Ari and I had a lot of fun those three days since we were not able to go to states last year because of COVID-19. It was a really nice way to end my senior year.”

LRHS Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher and tennis coach Kelly Gardner said, “Coach Kent Gardner and I are extremely proud of Devan and Ari for their outstanding tennis season this year. They both worked so hard and showed their tremendous dedication throughout the season.”
