(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Many flag football Mustangs were recognized this year as among the best in their sport.  The girls were honored by a vote of local coaches.

Senior Tyanna Smith was voted as the second-best defensive linebacker in the country and was voted to the first team All-Manatee County Team.

Herard is the first Mustang ever to become a two-time recipient of this honor, making first team in 2019 and second team in 2021.

Reddick joins Herard in making the All-Manatee County Team in her very first year of playing the sport.

Head coach Elijah Weaver said, “They are naturals at the game.”

“It really is nice being voted and it makes me feel that what I did was truly good and that I showed how good I can be,” said senior Shivanie Ghansiam.
