Honor society sends teachers “thank you” video

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Wednesday morning every LRHS teacher and staff member received a “thank you” video from the school’s National Honor Society (NHS) chapter.

Since Teacher Appreciation week began on Monday, May 3, the NHS officers and their adviser, LRHS English teacher Tracy Gregory, had been working on an appreciation video for all LRHS faculty members.

The video consisted of NHS members and officers making a quick comment on what they appreciate about their teachers.

Gregory stated, “I am so fortunate to have such a strong group of officers. As soon as I told them that Teacher Appreciation week started on the third, they all agreed on asking our members to submit video clips.”

Junior Matthew Boudreau, the NHS president-elect, is also a part of the LRHS TV production team.  He used his skills to create and edit the video.

“I was happily surprised to see a video in my inbox this morning from a bunch of wonderful students and felt so proud to be a teacher at Lakewood Ranch,” stated Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher Melissa Koehlinger.
