LRHS athletes ready for next step

Jenelle Bayor and Meghan Llamas– Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS athletic department will be holding a National Letter of Intent signing day for student athletes at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 27.

The following senior Mustangs are scheduled to sign –

  • Jordan Golden- Spartanburg Methodist College- Soccer
  • Jordan Brown- Worcester Polytechnic Institute- Basketball
  • Kora Turner- Chowan University- Lacrosse
  • Eli Newman- Eastern Illinois University- Track & Field
  • Riley Simmons- Mississippi State University- Track & Field
  • Zachary Bayor- Glenville State University               – Baseball
  • Noah Harsch- Warner University- Baseball
  • Patrick Herbst- Western Illinois University- Baseball
  • Nadiya Simpson – Midland University (NE)- Flag Football
  • Sinaya Glover – Thomas University (GA)- Flag Football

Turner said, “I am looking forward to continuing my lacrosse career while I also starting some of the biggest years of my life in college. I am excited to go somewhere new and gain some new experiences.”

Head lacrosse coach Samantha Stoltz said, “I am really proud of Turner as a player; she has only been playing for three years, so seeing her become a NCAA DII athlete is really special.”

Senior baseball player Zachary Bayor said, “I am super thankful for every opportunity given to me up to this point and the chance to go play college baseball is amazing.”
