(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – District track and field championships are scheduled for Saturday, April 17 at LRHS.

Last weekend, the girls track and field team won first place in the Manatee County Championship and the boys track and field team won second.

Head Mustang track and field coach Kristin Wikstrom said, “I am thrilled with the way our team is working and how we are doing our very best just in time for districts. As we head into the District Championships this weekend, I believe our girls are primed to win.”

Maya Bridgeford–first place 400 meter
Hailey Marston–first place 800 meter
Gracie Marston–first place 1600 and 3200 meter
Makena Murack–first place 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles
Fallon Gehrke–first place High Jump
Sofia Palonen–first place Pole Vault
Riley Simmons–first place Shot Put and Discus
Gianna Hagopian–first place Javelin


Boys –

Gavin Laielli-first place 1600 meter
Travis Patten–first place High Jump
Marc Dalmau–first place Shot Put
Blake Wood–first place Discus
