The LRHS girls lacrosse team won its first ever district playoff game

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Monday, April 12 the girls lacrosse team had their first district playoff match ever, defeating Bloomingdale High School 20-4.

The boys varsity lacrosse team also had their first district playoff game of the season on Monday, April 12 beating Sickles High School 14-2.

Senior lacrosse player Meghan Llamas commented, “I am sad that our regular season has come to an end, but I am ready to take on any teams that are in our way during districts.”

During the Mustangs game on Friday, April 9 against Sarasota High, Llamas became the first player in program history to score 100 goals.

The next game for the girls varsity team is at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 13 at Riverview High School.

The next game for the boys varsity lacrosse team is 5 p.m., Tuesday April 13 at Alonso High School.
