(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – After a tough week for the LRHS girls flag football team, they bounced back with a 37-0 victory over Manatee High School.

“The game showed many bright spots for the young future stars of this team,” said LRHS head coach Elijah Weaver.

The Mustangs are now 6-4 with three regular season games left this week against Tampa Catholic, Southeast, and Hollins High Schools.

After this week, the Mustangs will prepare to head into the district tournament.

“We will lean on our senior leaders like Emmie Herard, Shivanie Ghansiam, Tyanna Smith, and Nadiya Simpson to lead the way through the end of the season,” said Weaver.

Seniors Nadiya Simpson and Sinaya Golver are looking forward to furthering their flag football careers in college.
