Mustang juniors tackle SATs

Mallory Lloyd – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Wednesday, March 24, the LRHS junior class took a free SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test).

According to Wikipedia, “The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States.”

Many juniors reflected on their experience after the test was completed.

Ashlie Langlois said, “I thought the SAT was definitely easier this time than the first time I took it. Taking it multiple times has made me realize how much more studying I need to do in order to get the score I want.”

Nicole Hyer said, “I thought it was a stressful experience, and it made me realize how much studying I need to do for next time.”

While many students have already taken the SAT, it was a first-time experience for many others.

Margarita Lopez said, “This was my first time taking the SAT, and I thought it was a good starting point.

“It helped me identify the areas I need to improve in, and which areas I did well in.”

Leah Hommel said, “I thought it was good overall, but I felt like there was no time to complete the questions, especially for the math sections.”

The test began at 7:30 a.m. and juniors had the option to opt out of taking the test over the past couple weeks.
