(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Wednesday, March 24, the Ranch will host an in-school Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) day for juniors.

The SAT will be given free of charge and juniors who opt to take the SAT will be excused from classes.

This is an optional test, and not a graduation requirement.. It is, however, a comprehensive program that helps schools put students on the path to college.

LRHS junior Mallory Lloyd said, “I am taking the SAT as I need to improve my score to get into the colleges I want to go to.”

Parents will have to personally contact the school if they would like their child to opt out of the testing.

LRHS testing coordinator Jeff Simmons stated, “Mustangs should take advantage of this opportunity as even with many colleges being test optional this year the SAT is essential for college and scholarships.”

To opt out, Mustangs must fill out paperwork that must be submitted to the front office by Friday, March 12 in room 611.
