Lacrosse Mustangs prepare for Spring

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As spring break approaches the LRHS lacrosse teams are working hard.

This past week, the boys varsity, girls varsity, and girls junior varsity teams battled on their home turf against Saint Stephen’s Episcopal, Cypress Creek, and Out-of-Door Academy (ODA) high schools.

The boys team beat Saint Stephen’s Episcopal 16-6 Thursday, bringing their record to 3-2.

Senior Connor Rice said, “Last night was really good! It was the first time we really came together as a team and we played really well.”

The girls varsity team took a hard hit on Monday night, losing to Cypress Creek 3-7, making their record 4-2.

The girls JV team took home another win after their first victory last week. They beat ODA 18-5, giving their record a boost to 2-0.

Senior Erika Lyvers said, “Monday was definitely hard, but we are going to work even harder Friday and hopefully end the week on a high note!”
