(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- This year three LRHS Technology Students Association (TSA) students won recognition at TSA state competition.
The students who placed were junior Paige Willemsen, sophomore Anna Miller, and junior Madi Sidlo.
- Willemsen placed third in CAD Architecture.
- Miller placed second in Essays on Technology.
- Sidlo placed third in Photography of Technology.
- This team of girls place ninth overall
“States this year was a lot different from previous years because it was virtual format,” said Willemsen. “Even though the conference was not the same, I got the same satisfaction from winning my favorite event. I am really proud of everyone that competed even though we might not have placed very well.”
The TSA website said the virtual conference was necessitated by the COVID pandemic.
“In response to the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID) pandemic and the variance in educational settings (in-school, virtual, or hybrid) for students this school year, TSA is offering affiliated chapters the option of virtual competitions through the virtual competitive events guides. These guides provide all necessary information for chapter members to participate in TSA competitions remotely in the 2020-2021 school year.”
