Dual enrolled information available online

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- As the end of second semester is approaching, it is important for rising upperclassmen to consider their options for next year.

Many sophomores have already been faced with the choice between whether to take Advanced Placement, Honors, or regular courses.

However, dual enrollment classes are also available for junior and senior Mustangs to take.

Wednesday LRHS hosted an informational dual enrolled meeting on Teams (audio starts around 90 seconds into the video). Mustangs and parents can watch a taped meeting that covers more about these choices and what upperclassmen can expect during their upcoming years.

Dual enrollment allows upperclassmen to take classes at or through a community college or university to start earning college credit.

Many local colleges like Manatee Technical College (MTC), University of South Florida (USF), and State College of Florida (SCF) have offered dual enrollment opportunities free of cost to all Mustangs.

LRHS assistant principal Jillian Bieber said, “Dual enrollment is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors who are seeking college credit.”
