Zach Fenimore – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)-The LRHS Boys varsity baseball team concluded this week by going 2-1, giving the Mustangs a record of 4-2 as they prepare for another week of games.

The Mustangs won 5-0 Monday night in a home game against IMG Academy Blue as pitching and defense dominated to hold them to 0 runs.

Tuesday night the Mustangs hosted Berkeley Prep and lost 3-0 in the eighth inning when Berkeley broke the tie with a two-run home run.

The Mustangs traveled to Booker high school Thursday night and won 4-0 in a shutout dominated by pitching and defense.

Senior Brett Plimley stated, “I am happy with our record and how things are coming along, we do however have a lot of improvements to make. I do not believe our team has reached its full potential and I am looking forward to when we do”.

The Mustangs’ next game is an away game scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday night against Manatee followed by a home game 6 p.m., Thursday against Inspiration Academy  and an away game against Riverview Sarasota at 7 p.m. Friday.
