(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS StellarXplorers is a design competition that combines all aspects of development and operation with a spacecraft focus.
Captain of StellarXploeres senior William Flood said, “As a team we take an academic quiz and use a simulator to find the best solution to a set of problems. We did pretty well as we made it to semifinals and were ranked in the top 30% of 211 teams.”
According to the teams at StellarXplorers, 85% of alumni are enrolled in a four-year college program with 80% in a STEM discipline. 90% of all respondents credited StellarXplorers as influencing their education and career choices somewhat or a great deal.

Mustangs are recruiting for the club.
Freshmen and sophomores are highly sought for the four-year participation.

The national program has changed the date for team registration.
These changes allow the LRHS StellarXplorers team more time to prepare for the competition.
