(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – With national FFA week coming up, the LRHS FFA chapter will host COVID-19-safe scavenger hunts for members.
National FFA week will be from Monday, Feb. 22 to Friday, Feb. 26.
The breakdown for the week includes:
- Monday – Chapter and State Degree Clinic After School
- Tuesday – Proficiency Clinic After School
- Wednesday – Greenhand Degree Clinic After School
- Thursday – FFA T-Shirt Day
- Friday – Wear Blue & Gold Day
A Google form of the clues for the scavenger hunt will be posted to Schoology on Sunday, Feb. 21 and will send members to ten local agribusinesses.
The scavenger hunt will end on Saturday, Feb. 27 and anyone who went to all ten agribusinesses will be entered in a raffle to win prizes.
FFA is also hosting an alumni essay contest. This contest is for FFA members to help qualify them for the premier chapter award.
Mustangs will write a five-paragraph essay answering the prompt, “How has FFA shaped my future?”
The contest is open to all juniors and underclassmen in the Ranch’s FFA program. The LRHS FFA can submit only five essays to further competition.
