Meghan Llamas – Mustangs Ahead 

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Just a few days after their annual kick-off tournament, the LRHS boys and girls varsity lacrosse teams are making their way through their first week of games.

The boys varsity team played their first game this past Tuesday, Feb. 16, against the Riverview Rams, losing 11-5.

The boys will play again at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 at Plant High School.

Senior Connor Rice said, “Hopefully we can come together as a team and pull a victory!”

The girls’ varsity team played the Sarasota Sailors for their first official game Wednesday, Feb. 17, winning with a score of 15-1.

Senior Erika Lyvers said, “It was so much fun to get back into it. It has been so long since out last real game, and now I just looking forward to our next one.”

The girls next game is at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19. At home against Manatee High School.
