Reva Gandhi– Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS Marine Conservation Club will have their first in-person meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The meeting will take place in room 411 after school, from 2:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.

The club focuses on marine science related topics.

They also volunteer for beach cleanups and conservation projects, hear from biologists, and attend educational field trips.

President junior Alexandra Adamo stated, “I am looking forward to the first meeting and am excited for what we will accomplish this semester.”

Some of the upcoming events include a beach cleanup, a day trip to the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, a trash art contest, and a Q&A session with a scientist.

The Marine Conservation Club leadership team is working hard to have a safe transition from virtual to in-person meetings.
