Cameron Madison – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustang’s boys basketball opened the 2021 playoffs with a win at home against North Port Tuesday night.

LRHS came out on top in a close one, 45-42. This brings the team’s record to 11-7 on the season.

Junior wing Andres Junge led the team in scoring with 17 points.

“We did what we needed to do to win the game… it came down to a crucial stop at the end and we got the job done,” Junge said.

Playoff success is familiar territiroy to head Coach Jeremy Schiller.  In 10 years the team’s success includes four district titles, two regional titles, and a state runner-up finish.

The Mustangs have a district semi-final matchup at Durant tonight.

Senior Guard Zach Fenimore, “knowing every game could be my last, I play till my legs fall off… I know tonight will be a challenge, but I am confident in the team’s ability to come out with a win.”
