Reva Gandhi– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Friday, Feb. 5, LRHS Acting 1 Classes will participate in a lip sync battle.
The lip sync battle will take place during the fifth period in the LRHS auditorium.
The battle will be between students from first, second, and fifth periods, with a total of nine groups.
LRHS Acting 1 Mustangs will be required to learn and choreograph a group song. They will then be graded for their overall performances, as well as their use of costumes and props.
Sophomore Andrew Deppen said, “I think this will be a great break from what we normally do in class and it is a new and refreshing art type.”
Mustangs can choose between Billboard Top 10 songs, 80s music, boy bands, girl bands, Motown, or TV theme songs.
The judges for the Lip Sync Battle are LRHS drama teacher Roxanne Caravan, assistant principal Jeannie Galindo, and TADA Youth Theater Choreographer Patricia Ross.
Caravan stated, “This activity is really fun because this is the first time all year were Acting 1 Mustangs get to preform outside their class periods.”
