(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Two Mustangs have been selected to take part in the Rising Stars of Sarasota. Juniors Sarah Hutchinson and Ben Rosasco are being recognized for their outstanding musical talent.

The Rising Stars program is part of the Artist Series of Sarasota, which has promoted concert musicians for 25 years.

Hutchinson said, “Being selected as part of the Rising Stars of Sarasota is amazing. It is nice to see that after years of dedicating my life to music it is nice to be recognized for my hard-work.”

The two will be performing at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens, which has worked hard to provide a safe environment for guests.

The performance will take place outdoors and guests will be socially distanced. Temperatures will be taken at the door and masks will be required at all times.

“It is nice to finally be able to show my skills that I’ve been working on during quarantine,” said Rosasco.

Executive Director Marcy Miller of Artist Series Concerts spoke on how she narrowed it down to just four musicians. “My choice of musicians ultimately centered around a few criteria, which included a good variety and contrast of the instruments represented. We were looking for exceptional musicians with an interest in pursuing a musical career.”
